My story all began with an idea. I wanted to launch a business, turning a hobby into something more.
When I was in year 4 (grade 3) I used to draw cartoon characters for my classmates to colour in. My teacher would take my drawing and make photocopies for the other kids in my class to use. How fun?! And so cool that my teacher encouraged me like that. It was one of my earliest memories seeing that my art, creativity could be enjoyed by others.
I get that same satisfaction today when I create a poster that looks great and is functional, or when I’m graphic recording and can show participants what they heard during a session. It’s truly rewarding to give a gift of joy to others, that’s what art and design does. It makes you smile, it’s delightful.
With a background in International Relations and Development Studies, and having spent over 5 years in International Geneva, I have a solid understanding of this landscape. Having this expertise is a great benefit to working with organisations who want to better communicate their findings or learnings.
I can understand the concepts shared, but with a creative eye, I can take this a step further and broaden the understanding to a wider audience. For real impact, reach and accessibility is key. This is why more and more organisations are looking to art and design to expand and amplifying the messages they’re trying to communicate. Let’s create together!
